Bowser and his army are marching through a canyon or something on their way to try and attack the Mushroom Kingdom when one of his minions brings it to his attention that there's a creature made entirely of steel blocking the path. Bowser approaches Steelix only to realize that he's badly injured. His troops gather enough strength to move the Steelix and as they march off, Bowser, feeling bad for the thing, gives it a 1up mushroom and continues on his way.
Later on, returning from their defeat, Bowser and his minions get caught in some kind of danger and the Steelix somehow saves them in return for Bowser reviving him. Bowser thanks him and asks him to join the Koopa Troop. Steelix joins Bowser. (insert attraction and sexual acts here) The next morning, Bowser wakes up to realize he's alone like he always is because Steelix left out of shame or something. :[
